Narrowband IoT

The application areas of IoT (Internet of Things) are almost unlimited - the requirements pose great challenges for the underlying mobile communications. Where 4G (LTE) or the 5G network will enable critical M2M communication, for example in the remote control of machines.
LAN or WLAN is still perfect for local networks over short distances. However, there are many other cases. For sensors in remote areas, deep basements and without power supply, a technology is needed that can provide comprehensive network coverage over long distances and can be battery operated.
NB IoT is furthermore particularly ideal for many IoT applications that only rarely or only exchange small amounts of data. The optimal solution is called NB IoT (NarrowBand IoT). For these and the following reasons, we at SynapIoT have decided to take advantage of this cutting edge technology.

With IoT everything can connected, everything that can be networked sensibly and economically. The foundation for this development: an adequate network.

For most IoT applications in the public and consumer sector, the low bandwidth of NB-IoT is more than sufficient. NB-IoT is also a perfect solution due to its optimal coverage reliability and is a much better solution for IoT than W-LAN or LAN, as these networks are comparably unstable and in some cases also unsecure.

In addition to the NB IoT transmission unit in our solutions, we have added a GPRS, 3G and 4G transmission unit to the multitude of sensors in our hardware. In the standard configuration, a NB-IoT connection is tried first, then GPRS, 3G and 4G. Optionally a LAN and W-LAN connection is also possible. In this way a stable redundant connection with our sensors is guaranteed.

Today, the Internet of Things is no longer science fiction: Unconnected machines and objects ("Things") are equipped with a network connection, algorithms, software and a number of sensors to collect and exchange data but also to gain new knowledge from the machines and processes.

In the past, machines and devices could not be networked either for economic reasons or because of technical requirements. At this point NB-IoT is revolutionary and contributes significantly to the mass suitability and broad breakthrough of the Internet of Things.

  • Data transmission possible even with very strong obstacles - good reception is possible even in deep basements

  • Network coverage over a very long distance and thus also area-wide possible

  • Best reception through "Coverage Enhancement"

  • No maintenance and installation of local LAN and W-LAN networks necessary, this means minimal effort for networking of the sensors

3GPP industry standarD

  • Internationally recognized, standardized and reliable technology and architecture (3GPP: 3rd Generation)

  • multi-vendor connectivity, compatibility and secure international coverage

  • Specially optimized for existing mobile networks in licensed frequency ranges

  • The Narrow Band IoT technology is especially designed for optimized energy consumption, so sensors can theoretical have up to 10 years battery life - depending on the number of send packages. SynapIoT try to use and tab into existing power sources if possible to save the number of used batteries in our products.

  • Independence from external power sources possible

  • Existing Transmitter masts allow up to 100 times as many IoT-units compared to GSM-units

Narrowband IoT for the Internet of Things is now a globally accepted standard, with IoT solutions working everywhere - even in deep basements. There is little to do with conventional mobile telephony in the IoT sector. The energy consumption of mobile phone technology is far too high and the network would quickly be overloaded under the load of the expected tens of thousands of IoT sensors.

The existing transmission masts can administer a hundred times more NB-IoT connections than GSM connections.

Every newly developed SynapIoT solution works with NarrowBand-IoT anywhere in the world.

In this way, manufacturers of networked refrigerators and air conditioners, for example, can install and sell SynapIoT anywhere, without having to set up technical functionalities differently. It has become easy to offer a networked product.

SynLab IoT is SynapIoT's R&D centre. Here we are working on synergies of combining the disciplines of engineering, software, research and development - to create reel cutting edge digitalization for our costumers.

Our clients simply tell us what to measure, what data they want to see and we build the PCB, write the algorithm and deliver the desired data as a direct usable output.

SynCore™ is Synap IoT’s Platform - here you can manage your sensors and add external sensors, in that way you have all relevant sonsor data in one dashboard. We also integrate 3rd party sensors in SynCore.

  • All sensor data in real time

  • Export reports (PDF, CSV, Excel)

  • Adjust tolerance levels

  • Manage notification details (telephone and email)

  • Status predictive maintenance

  • Calibration value adjustable

  • Update hardware firmware wireless

We offer Automatic Temperature logging and monitoring for owners of Commercial Coolers, Freezers and Airconditions.

Do you want to save time, money and eliminate manual temperature logging from Coolers and Freezers?

We automate the logging, create the reports for the authorities and make them available to you every day. So, for your next audit visit, all your compliance documentation is available and compliant.

Through machine learning and predictive maintenance, the pattern of your cooling unit is constantly analyzed so that any irregularities are detected very early.

Warning and alerts are a part of the SynCore monitoring subscription, which means that if the refrigerator changes it normal pattern, if the temperature does not regulate right over a period of time and if the temperature keeps rising and getting close to a set critical level, you will get an instant notification in form of an email and a text message.

In the setup phase we assist you in setting the right parameters. SynCore, our platform, will through machine learning learn the pattern of your cooling unit so that any irregularities can be detected very early.
